I can’t believe my opening statement only scored the “Lionel Hutz” level – I thought I was better than that!
As usual, you provided lots of great material for helping improve my opening statements. The tip about case weaknesses was something I knew I was supposed to be doing, but neglected to do in my last trial. Needless to say, I won’t make that same mistake again. Next time, I think I’ll deliver AT LEAST a Denny Crane level performance!

Ha! Good stuff! I applied the tips from your training system in my last trial, so my opening was at the “Jack McCoy” level. Only one or two more tweaks and I’ll become “Atticus Finch!”
Keep up the great stuff – everybody in my office loves getting your weekly tips.
glitch: it loaded leaving me looking at the bottom of the page. I had to scroll back up to see the questions.
Got docked a point because the judge here does keep me shackled behind the lectern. Didn’t like losing a point for something I know, but can’t control. We don’t use stenos, and the mike is attached to the lectern, so we have to do everything from within that foot or two behind the lectern or there is no record of what we say.
Overall, good tips, reminders and suggestions.

Jack McCoy…didn’t want to appear to “dominate” by getting too close. I’ll have to get some law and order episodes and see how the public (juries) expect me to act!

I answered 9 questions correctly.
My trial lawyer skill level is: Jack McCoy
But, I guess is not my trial lawyer skill, only my opening statements.
