A helpful follow up question to other jurors is to ask them how they feel about the prejudiced jurors comments. It provides valuable insight about the other jurors.

[...] Elliott Wilcox at Trial Theatre (who could teach even John Bradley lessons on self-aggrandizement as a prosecutor) on the outspoken juror giving answers unfavorable to your client’s case: You do NOT want them sitting in judgment of your client. They hate you, your client, or your case, and you don’t want them on your jury. In fact, once they give you two or three of those “Get me the hell out of here” statements, you may start feeling like they’re going out of their way to poison your entire jury panel. At this point, you certainly don’t want to hear anything else they say, because you know that you’re going to kick them off the panel. It may be for cause, or you may need to use a peremptory strike, but either way, they are outta here. Since you’re definitely going to get rid of them, you probably shouldn’t ask them any more questions, right? [...]

Dear Eliott,

You are so right. In a trial in Miami I was representing Liberty Mutual in a first party case. One outspoken juror announced, "I don't like insurance companies." I didn't like that, but I did like his candor and I had feeling that he was a straight shooter, maybe even a leader. I left him on the jury. I then directed my case toward him, even referring to him directly in closing argument. He was the foreman and I got a defense verdict.
