Some of the exhibits you want to introduce into evidence can be “self-authenticating.” The great thing about these exhibits is that you don’t need a witness to establish their authenticity or introduce the exhibits into evidence. The downside is that your self-authenticating documents can’t speak for themselves. Here are some tips for maximizing the effectiveness of your self-authenticating documents so that jurors pay attention to your evidence.
