I recently went through a two-day trial over spousal support. My ex-husband, who appeared pro se, threw out all kinds of irrelevant garbage, including plenty of lies. It drove me crazy and I wanted my lawyer to address everything. But she's good and knew what to address and what to leave alone. I learned a lot and we won against the odds (by God's grace and great legal skills).
